A LITTLE ABOUT david

David Latimer is an adventurer, seeker, and award-winning designer best known for his company New Frontier Design, his work in small-space architecture, and for being a mountain man at heart whose true home is split between the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the Appalachians. His life has followed a wide, wandering arc in pursuit of unique experiences over any one career path — helping to build an orphanage in Uganda, working in fashion and interiors for Ralph Lauren and Earnest Sewn in New York, shaping restaurants and gathering places in Chicago, and moving through cities and wild country with equal appetite. Those years carved out a design instinct rooted in culture, functionality, simplicity, beauty, and the quiet honesty of nature.

David founded New Frontier Design in 2014, creating luxury tiny homes that helped define the modern movement toward intentional, nature-driven living. What began as a hands-on tiny home studio grew into a nationally recognized design firm shaping experiential hospitality and architecture across the U.S. Today, New Frontier partners with top park-model and modular builders to produce work at scale while holding fast to originality, craft, and beauty.

Alongside his design work, David consults with hospitality developers, brands, and private clients — helping them create places that feel lived-in, human, and unforgettable. His work rests on a simple belief: a good life is built with intention, and the spaces we inhabit should honor it.
